Our Choir

choir harvest 2015

At All Saints Church we are justly proud of our 20-strong enthusiastic robed choir; it is indeed a village choir to suit a village church.  There is a weekly practice on Friday evenings, and all members attend regularly and sing each Sunday at the 10 am service, including the Junior Choristers (there are few choirs in the County who are fortunate to have Juniors!)

The church is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and the choir follows their ‘Voice for Life’ scheme which offers a progressive course in singing and musicianship.  There is no upper age limit for choir membership and the Juniors may join as seven-year olds; there is no audition either!  The choir has close links with Grayswood School and invites those children, and any from the congregation, to join the Song Squad and sing with the choir at the 4th Sunday All Age Family Worship Service, when percussion instruments including chime bars are often used, and a music group of mixed instruments plays.  The choir is also frequently asked to sing at weddings at All Saints.

The choir is always pleased to welcome new members, and if you are interested please contact shirley1941@btinternet.com for further information.
